In this blog, the baseball-loving staff at Shusupo will bring you information related to baseball.
On August 8th and 9th, we held a two-day event in collaboration with "Gorilla Sports"!!
On the 8th, we borrowed the Shin-Nanyo baseball field next to Shusupo and held Mr. Oi's popular "Knock Event."
This knock event is mainly held in the Kanto region, and the highest number of participants in the past was 32.
However! This time, the knock event saw a record-breaking 61 people participate!!!
Wow... it was incredibly exciting!!!!
Mr. Oi is really good (・∀・)ﾆﾔﾆﾔ
The kids were also thrilled watching Mr. Oi's brilliant plays (^^)
From how to catch the ball at the start to how the groups were divided, players who usually don't interact were able to communicate and
I even heard comments like, "I made new friends!"
Hearing that made me truly feel like it was a worthwhile event (・∀・)ﾆﾔﾆﾔ
During the fielding practice, we were also able to use sample gloves from GS!
Almost all models of gloves were provided, including the Atebasami style, Modified Atebasami style, Oni Third style, Samurai style, and Super Hercules style!
Many people said, "I often see them on YouTube and TikTok" and "I wanted to try them," so by actually trying on and using the GS gloves, I believe everyone fully understood how good and easy to use they are.
I felt that each one was easy to catch with and developing nicely, but Sato's number one is...

More precisely, the high-grade series is truly amazing!!!
That high-grade series uses ST leather.
It has a substantial feel and excellent durability and shape retention, so it didn't lose its firmness at all even after use. (It's seriously incredible)
Also, thanks to the custom hard core material in the thumb core, it maintained its firmness well.
So, a glove that's 100 points when purchased will grow to 120 or even 150 points the more you use it!
The knock event concluded with Mr. Oi's "No-Error Survival Challenge"!
Fumbling the ball naturally counts as an error, but if the throw is also bad, you're disqualified.
However, if the first baseman can cover, you can survive!
I was the first baseman, and when I couldn't cover, the children's "Oh no~" screams were overwhelming 💦💦💦
The last child remaining received a prize!!!!
They were given GS's moisturizing oil "Closer" and polishing oil "Cy Young"!
As a side note, the child who received "Closer" apparently boasted about it a lot (lol).
I guess that's how happy they were (・∀・)ﾆﾔﾆﾔ
We'd love to hold the knock event again!
On the 9th, Gorispo-sensei also came and served as our store manager for the day!
Many people came because they wanted to "catch a glimpse of Gorispo-sensei and Mr. Oi!"

The store was constantly full of customers (^^;
Not only people from within the prefecture, but also people from Hiroshima, and even some from Hyogo came!
The people from Hyogo seemed to be regulars at the GS shop (lol).
They apparently own a ridiculous number of GS gloves (・∀・)ﾆﾔﾆﾔ
When we decided to hold this event, there's a regular customer who always visits Shusupo,
and he encouraged me, saying, "Sato-san! Let's order together!" So, I ended up ordering for the first time in four years (lol).
It's fun to order things no matter how old you are (・∀・)ﾆﾔﾆﾔ
I'll work hard while looking forward to its completion...
Since I added the "Closer glove shaping" option when I ordered,
I'm excited to see how Gorispo-sensei will finish the shaping!!
I secretly hope it might be featured in Gorispo-sensei's glove shaping video (lol).

~After the event~
When you work at a baseball shop, you naturally develop favorite brands.
GS is one of Sato's favorite brands.
There are various reasons why I become a fan, but personally, when I hear about a strong passion for gloves or a desire to achieve something, and I think it's good, I become a fan.
I believe I became a fan of GS because Gorispo-sensei and Mr. Oi talked to me a lot, which led to it.
(Being the same age as Gorispo-sensei also played a small part... lol)
So, this GS event was an event I really wanted to do!!
The power of YouTubers and the power of GS are truly amazing...
I realized it anew.
I want to do it again next time!!
