This is a hardball glove, a model used by Yasuhiro Ogawa, pitcher for the Tokyo Yakult Swallows and a Rawlings advisory staff member.

It features a popular first-back style with two pinky fingers and no finger holes. This design pursues a form that fits the throwing motion, allowing the pitcher to apply force without stress during pitching.

The leather on the surface of the glove is Canadian Kip Leather, characterized by its fine, durable fibers and moist texture.

The back of the glove (where the hand goes) uses Japanese Wagyu leather treated with Rawlings' unique processing method. It is characterized by high grip strength, allowing the glove and hand to become one, giving the user a bare-handed feel when handling the glove.
