This is a 7J model junior glove from Wilson's popular "D-MAX DUAL" series.
DUAL refers to the structure where each finger has two lines (rawhide lacing).
Rawhide lacing, in short, acts like the "pillars of a glove." While normal gloves have one, the DUAL series has two, making them resistant to the force of the ball during catching. Additionally, the pinky two-finger design allows for a firm grip even on fast-hit balls.
The band fit adjustment allows even players with small hands to improve the fit simply by pulling the laces.
The flat binding structure reduces pain in the index finger by using special stitching on the edge leather where the index finger protrudes.
The back leather uses SuperSkin. This is Wilson's unique leather, which is about half the weight of normal leather while having about twice the durability. Furthermore, it is excellent for repelling water and resisting dirt.
"Koyuni" shaping, directly taught by Wilson's Mitsuhiko Nakamura, is also recommended by the manufacturer (Tasaki player model). The thumb stands firmly, creating a pocket and making backhand catches easier. Additionally, the Koyuni shape eliminates unnecessary tension, improving handling.
