〈Pre-broken-in〉[Wilson] WANNABE HERO DUAL Soft-ball Infielder's Glove, Model 27, Fall/Winter 2025

This is an ultra-limited soft-ball glove, not available in Japan.

The most distinctive feature is the use of Spin Control Leather, also known as "Spikon," in the catching surface and web. This embossed leather generates high grip, allowing you to firmly catch the ball.

DUAL refers to a structure where each finger has two seams (hamidashi).
While regular gloves have one seam, the DUAL series has two, making it resistant to the force of the ball when catching. When catching the ball with the fingers, the DUAL structure allows the ball to fall into the pocket, enabling smooth transfers.

The pattern is "27 type."
This is a model based on Jose Altuve, who plays for the MLB Houston Astros. It's called the 27 type after Altuve's uniform number, "27."
While the size is the same as the 86 type, it features a slightly open hinge due to a single lace running through it. It allows for a slightly shallower catch than the 86 and 87 types.

The back of the glove uses SuperSkin leather. This Wilson-exclusive leather is approximately half the weight of regular leather while being about twice as durable. Furthermore, it's excellent at repelling water and resisting dirt.

It comes pre-shaped with the "Ko-Yuni" molding, directly taught by Wilson's Nakada-go and recommended by the manufacturer. (Tonasaki player model) The thumb stands firm, creating a pocket and making it easy to catch reverse singles. Additionally, the Ko-Yuni design reduces unnecessary tension, improving handling.
