This is the Model 27 hardball infielder's glove from Wilson's DUAL series, which has become synonymous with Wilson gloves. It is based on the model used by Jose Altuve, who plays for the MLB Houston Astros. The Model 27 is named after Altuve's jersey number, "27."

This USA model is based on the D5 model, featuring a thumb pad and a single wrist lace design.

DUAL refers to the structure with two lines (lacing) on each finger. In simple terms, the lacing acts like the "pillars of the glove." While standard gloves have one lacing, the DUAL series has two, making it more resistant to the force of the ball upon catching. Additionally, the two-finger pinky slot allows for a firm catch even on fast balls.

The leather used is Pro Stock Steerhide from North America. It is adaptable and fits comfortably on any user's hand without being overly stiff.

This glove comes pre-shaped with the "Koyuni" style, as recommended by the manufacturer and directly instructed by Mitsuhiko Nakamura of Wilson (Outsaki player model). The firmly positioned thumb creates a deep pocket, making it easier to catch reverse singles. Furthermore, the Koyuni shape helps to reduce unnecessary tension, improving handling.
